Acts of Friendship (2019 - 2021)

Acts of Friendship is a participatory work that commenced in November 2019 by multidisciplinary artist nor. Through this project, nor invites anybody at all to start or renew a friendship with them. Participants can decide how much time they want to spend with nor and how they want to spend time, the only rules being no drugs, no alcohol and each outing to only cost $20. After initial meetings, participants and nor collaborate to create a gesture indicative of their dynamic and understandings of friendship with each other. 

This work was exhibited as part of Shifting Between by Our Softest Hour, as part of Singapore Art Week in 2021. During the duration of the exhibition, audience members are invited to participate in an act of friendship with nor, by writing a letter to a friend, or a loved one.
